Misson: To eradicate subservient behavior in our society.
“Leaders lead.” -Leigh
This past summer, Definition Theatre produced our first theatrical film. We are now elated to share it with you.
We have to first thank each and every artist that collaborated on this project and acknowledge the loss in our community due to Covid-19, systemic racism, and unbroken cycles. We consider it a privilege and an honor to create meaningful art at this time.
This incredible script by Stacey Rose has been with us for many years now and as time continued to march on its relevancy only became even more palpable.
This story is a warning shot to all of America as it reckons with the systems at play at the foundation of our country. It gives us a glimpse into a possible future in which our society has become complacent to false leaders and begs us to reckon with who is responsible for preserving the truth of our shared American history.
It inspires the next generation to hold our current leaders accountable as it’s past time for our society to do away with subservient behavior politically and socially.
We, artists, have the power, right, and responsible to preserve the truth in our work. The scary reality is the world of America v2.1 is one that doesn’t seem so far away…we can’t wait to discuss the lies and truths with you.
