Chicago Love Train
by Jessica F. Morrison

About
Sonnet is a young Black woman—poet, rapper, melody in motion from Chicago’s South Side. Chi-Town’s rhythm pulses through her, from hip-hop to house, blues to jazz. Alone in her room, the Red Line hums, carrying her dreams to her memories.
Brotha Joy is the wind—sometimes a whisper, sometimes a storm. He spits truth like the thunder, guiding Sonnet and the audience through many magnificent miles.
Live musicians are the sound. Their acoustic instruments breathe life into every moment.
More than a play—a movement. Part communal celebration, part call to action. A reawakening.
Chicago is next. Doors closing.
