She Rocks is an electrifying Afrofuturistic one-act musical revue, featuring a powerhouse cast of five Black women who reclaim their rightful place in the history of American music. The story begins on Coronation Day, as Daughter—a modern embodiment of the sound of Black women in rock—is set to join the legendary Mystics, who represent the soul-stirring roots and sounds of folk, blues, and rock ‘n’ roll. Yet, plagued by self-doubt, Daughter questions whether she belongs among these towering icons.
