Netta Walker is a actor, playwright, and activist that began her career onstage in Chicago 10 years ago as an understudy at The Gift Theater for “The Grapes of Wrath” - a show that solidified Chicago as her artistic home. Seen in shows and workshops all over the city at The Goodman Theater, Steppenwolf Theater, Court Theater, and more over said years. Her most recent turn from actor to writer with the Amplify Play Festival, has led her to studying playwriting with The LIR at Trinity College as well as doing writing workshops with The Goodman Theater and Remy Bumppo theater.
She’s is currently staring on the hit TV show "All American: Homecoming" on The CW - where she’s been a series regular for 3 seasons. She has starred opposite Oscar nominated Gabourey Sidibe in Come as You Are (Cannes, SXSW). John Hoogenakker (Dopesick, Waco, Tom Clancy) in Court Theaters production of Lion in Winter, and played Ophelia to Daniel Kyri’s (Chicago Fire) Hamlet. She received a Joseph Jefferson Award in 2019 for her performance as the titular character in Yen - and recently finished studying acting at RADA in their Professional program.
