Reynaldo Dumas is an independent filmmaker with an interest in writing, producing, and directing for film and television. He aims to tell stories within the genres of drama and science fiction that focus on people of color in the United States. Amplify Series Two has given him the unique opportunity to share his point of view through the medium of theater—an unexpected, and welcomed change. While a first for Dumas, the experience of writing a play has been a rewarding journey, challenging the limits of his imagination. It’s an honor to be included in the company of this spectacular group of writers. Reynaldo holds a BA in film from Columbia College Chicago, as well as an MBA from Roosevelt University Chicago.
